The distortion of the cylinder causes the rings to wear out prematurely. Our blocks are proven to last longer and be stronger with the new standard-size sleeves. During our remanufacturing process, in order to remedy the injector cup failures that are common in the 3116 engines, every cylinder head receives new upgraded injector cups and new seals. We also have an upgraded injector tip eliminating the injector tip O-ring, and replacing it with a steel ring integrated into the injector tip. This eliminates the need for the ever-failing injector tip O-rings and causes for a more confident seal in the cup.
